Chiba City is a charming destination with much to offer, but it's important to note that some establishments, like hotels, may have strict check-in and check-out times, which can be inconvenient for longer stays. Nonetheless, the city itself has a lot to explore, from its rich cultural heritage to modern attractions like Disney Land. It's worth planning your visit accordingly to make the most of this vibrant and diverse city.

The location was very near the Chiba station and the staff was very nice and friendly although we had a bit of trouble communicating.
The room and the building were a bit old but the room was bigger than I expected.

The hotel is in Makuhari Messe with its exhibition centre.
The hotel is in Makuhari Messe with its exhibition centre. If you are going to an event/exhibition at Makuhari Messe then the area is good, otherwise it has no merits. For tourists better to stay in Tokyo proper. With a car there are a lot of attractive places to visit in Chiba, mainly in the Boso Peninsula but this hotel is a poor location as a base for Chiba travel. The only reason I booked there was that I had some local business.

Chiba is not as crowded as Tokyo.
Chiba is not as crowded as Tokyo. Sufficient interesting places closeby to visit such as the Naritasan Shinshoji Temple , Naritasan Park and Sakura Ruins Castle Park. Lots of places to do shopping with reasonable price and not overly crowded. Shisui Premium Outlets is easy to get too for shopping of branded goods.

Modern Japan - Large convention centre and quite a few Hotels to choose from that service that Venue. Local shopping is Good and there are a number of good cheap Japanese eateries and western Burger chains in the area. Railway Station is Handy and allows easy excursions into Tokyo and surrounds. Local Baseball team has a Stadium there.
This hotel is located right beside with Chiba JR Station (a minutes walk using an open walkway that connects the two) Plus the station is in the Narita Airport to Tokyo Station JR line, so if you want to stay here for one night as soon as you land into Narita, or on your way back out of Narita before a early morning flight, its the perfect hotel. Plus the rooms are bigger than most new hotels. The hotel is comfortable and staff is helpful, so overall its a good choice for a no frills, good stay.
The hotel was lovely. It had several restaurants and bars which where great and not over priced. They have 2 buses that stop at the hotel and take you to either of the tokyo airports, this costs around £5. The hotel is conveniently placed for Disneyland Tokyo and is much cheaper than the Disney hotels. The hotel also has 2 excellent onsens divided into male and female, as in most onsens the oolicy is to be naked (you get used to it) and the experience is well worth it.
I visited due to an event at Makuhari Messe. The location is perfect, extremely convenient. The rooms are relatively spacious, and the hotel had a pharmacy, a convenience store and several restaurants inside the property. Each of the main buildings had their own Japanese-style baths. After a long day at the event I could relax without worries. The price-to-value is great!
My trip was in April. Easy to walk to from subway. I came for a concert at Makuhari Hall. It was in a very convenient walking distance. Loved that outlet shopping was close and only steps away. The lobby was beautiful and the front desk was friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were spacious. I would stay at Hotel Francs again.
Hotel is nice. Has a really nice view of the monorail and the city skyline from our room at 13th floor. Room is really big and comfortable. Service is great and would even open elevator for you when they see you at the lobby going to use the elevator. Also makes the room and cleans it well.
Very reasonably priced mid-range hotel with an (almost) 24-hour onsen and rooms much bigger than you'd get for anything close to the same price in Tokyo. Would recommend if going to a conference or similar in the area, although Chiba itself is quite industrial with not much to see or do.
We have stayed at the New Otani Makuhari several times, and every time we've been pleased. We like the size of the rooms, the friendliness of the staff, the location near the station and the design and art deco style of some of the amenities. One of our favorite hotels in Japan.
We were on our way home from a holiday and wanted to stay in Chiba as it is close to Narita Airport. Daiwa Roynet Chiba was easy to find from the train station in a great location for eating, shopping and Chiba Park. We enjoyed the included buffet breakfast.
Very nice hotel in the perfect spot right beside Chiba Minato Station and the monorail. Everything was clean, friendly, and very convenient. Rooms were small but tidy and very quiet. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.
the hotel is clean and comfortable. the room is big comparing to Tokyo. it is about 1 hour by train to Tokyo. it is very convenient as it is 10mn walk from the station and a lot of food and shopping mall around the hotel.
Everything. Right from the staff behavior to the cleanliness to the breakfast in terms of taste and variety. If I happen to visit Chiba again, I would make sure to stay at APA Chiba Ekimae once more :)
Great breakfast. Very good location for me. very friendly and helpful staff. I use this hotel for my home base while travelling in Japan. I, look forward to returning next year.
Amazing location. Literally a stone's throw away from Chiba station. Good quality for the price. Room was more spacious as compared to other business hotels. Breakfast was ok.
convenient location, room was clean and staff was very helpful and polite, and it was pretty cheap compared to other hotels around the same area. Good value
