Second time visiting and it's just such an idealic location! Love it! Definitely helped having a (working) car, however not necessary with the amount of walks in the area!
To go out and eat we HIGHLY recommend Lou & Joe's Burgers and Harvey's! Fantastic range of gluten free options in all local restaurants, everyone is so friendly and accommodating

A great example of a northern mill town but not the main reason for visiting this picturesque Yorkshire town.
Famed for the BBC show "Last of the Summer Wine", it's a mecca for anyone who's funny bone has been tickled by this warm comedy from the 70's through to the early part of the 2000's.
Modern hostelries abound, some great exhibitions, cafes and pubs used extensively in the TV series all combined with the beauty of the Yorkshire landscape featured throughout the escapades of the characters of the show.
We'll be back in the summer to further explore the scenic beauty and further enjoy the views these three old men brought to life on our TV screens.

Holmfirth is a great place to visit.
Holmfirth is a great place to visit. Home of “Last of the summer wine” of course but also a great venue to visit is The Picturedrome for a Northern Soul music gig which was fantastic. Some lovely bars and eateries plus some quirky shops as well. Defo a place to visit for the weekend.

Lovely quaint place.
Lovely quaint place. Quite a bit of traffic around the centre. Sid's cafe small in size but homely and yummy food. Last of the summer wine places to visit where TV series made. Lots of places to eat and have a drink. Friendly people. Some nice pubs to have a beer in with nice surroundings. Picturedome for live music fantastic venue.
The owner Andrea was very friendly and helpful with a good sense of humor. She left a personalised booklet giving advice on local places that were good and those that were not so. The cottage was really nice and clean and full of character with quirky-shaped rooms and corridors. We came down to see bands that were playing at the Picturedome, which was an easy 2-minute walk, as were a number of restaurants for after. We will no doubt be coming back once more bands we like come play Holmfirth.
Stayed here a couple of times. The rooms are nice and clean with all the facilities we need. Staff are helpful and friendly. The hot water was not working in the room when we arrived so we reported it to the staff and it was dealt with very quickly so it wasnt a problem. Property is in a great location being so close to the picturedrome. We will definitely stay here again.
On the hills above Holmfirth, closer to Meltham, so we didn’t walk in for an evening. Views though fabulous.Wonderful helpful staff. Busy restaurant area, no real lounge/ bar though no problem with sitting and having a drink in the restaurant. Big garden and function room. Breakfast generally good, could have been improved with warm plates.
What can I say about this property, well I would say it’s 1st class. Excellent accommodation only a stone throw from Holmfirth centre and ideal for anyone who wants to take a visit to the Picturedrome, home owners are very friendly and polite, I definitely would recommend this for anyone who is looking to stay,
Great find right in the heart of Holmfirth. All the basics you need for a lovely relaxing weekend. Great price with a good cooked breakfast included. Only issue was no hot water for a shower but we were informed there had been a boiler issue. We will return.
Great communications. Kept informed. Received a welcome text from owner before arrival. Loved the buzz of Holmfirth. The property was right bang in the middle of town. Perfect location. And coffee shops so cheap compared to home.
Spotlessly clean with added extras to make our stay comfortable, great location for Holmfirth town. Parking the bottom of the hill and walking to property wasn’t a problem at all…..great stay and fantastic communication with host
The history of the house, the surrounding architecture from its industrial past, and the easy access to countryside and to Holmfirth made for an enjoyable stay. The house is compact but has all that is needed for a couple.
Excellent location in the heart of Holmfirth. Long stay carpark at the bottom of the road which was great. Lovely view across to the town centre from the kitchen and upper bedroom. Perfect for our overnight stay.
Location was great but slightly out of Holmfirth, so you would need transport to get in the Town.
Beautiful boutique rooms, lovely toiletries. Lovely decor. Exceptional friendly and helpful staff.
lovely friendly homely hotel, love the homely casual feel of the restaurant and bar, the staff are lovey and welcoming. great home cooked food in the bar or restaurant and its Dog friendly.
Cosy cottage, comfy beds, well equipped. Easy walk into Holmfirth. Kate, the host, very helpful, excellent communication and gave very good suggestions for local walks and pubs for food.
We adored everything. The unique cottage, the perfect location and, of course, Holmfirth. Heath, the owner, is dedicated, welcoming and informative. We will certainly visit again soon.
Perfect location for Holmfirth Picturedrome live music venue. Everyone at the hotel was so friendly and helpful. It was very clean and there was a wide choice of delicious breakfasts.
This cottage has so much character, such a lovely place situated right in the heart of Holmfirth. Heath, the owner, couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was perfect.
