The care of the owner was beyond expectations, we got good advice for moving around the area and the breakfast was great, and flexible in terms of schedules. Special care was taken for the enjoyment of the our teenagers. We stayed in a family room, the room was just right for our needs and the balcony had stunningl view of the lake. The train service stopped due to land slide and we faced difficulty in reaching and leaving Varenna. Difficult to catch a taxi to leave Varenna to Lecco for onward train to Milano. Laura was kind enough to order a taxi for us. Clean and quiet room. Excellently located very close to the pier - good when raining.
