Great location, lovely hosts, everything you need in the room and the bonus of a garden to sit in, pet friendly too, we had a chilled couple of days and really enjoyed our time there, only five minutes walk to the center of the village.

The setting was beautiful, the animals were fun and friendly and Zia the host could not have done more to make our stay more special - she even decorated the accommodation for our sons birthday! My son said it was the best place he has ever stayed and he's stayed in a lot of places! We would highly recommend staying here and trying the animal experiences- it was magical!

Peaceful and quiet location with very friendly hosts who were on hand if we needed any help with anything. Clean and tidy plus it was nice and warm with the heater on. Couldn't fault the cabin at all.

We were one of just a few people there so at first it was a little strange feeling. The house is old and has so much character. Furnishing were antiques in the room so it felt like being transported back in time. We enjoyed our stay-it was very clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent-wonderful breakfast in the morning.
We didn’t like anything about our stay. I booked a deluxe room and was fobbed off with a tiny room which was filthy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The shower dripped really loudly. We couldn’t control the radiators so the room was boiling. We did get moved to a room which was what I had booked originally in the end but again it was filthy and crawling with bugs. The carpets and walls were stained with something. The shower or tv didn’t work, we had no toiletries in the room and had to ask for toilet roll. The entire place looks like it is just a hostel for anybody, there were random people round about the hotel who were generally weird and didn’t seem like guests at all. There’s no facilities at the hotel even though it states online that the renovations are complete, there’s no bar or restaurant or amenities so there’s nowhere to eat or drink. Overall the stay was awful and we even had to phone booking.com to help us get back into the place at the night time because no info was given when we checked in and there is never anybody at the reception to answer our question. I definitely wouldn’t be staying there here again. The place is absolutely disgusting in terms of cleanliness.

We didn't spend much time in Mold itself but it was a convenient centre from which to explore Chester and N. Wales. It took a while to work out the best routes and some road directions were initially confusing but we managed OK. The Park and Ride facility for Chester was convenient and easy. Much better that driving round looking for parking.

Our stay was some 8 miles away from Mold in Afonwen.
Our stay was some 8 miles away from Mold in Afonwen. Mold is a small town with a great little market on Saturdays. Afonwen is a beautiful area with mountains, a nature reserve and a lake. A bird watchers paradise and great for walking and access to North Wales beaches.

Mold had charity shops and a few Quiet Pubs like a Wetherspoons But was turned away from the Red Lion Pub because was not a local & was not happy about that.
The nearest hotel was not walking distance into Mold town as the Booking site had led me to believe But there was a Bus service into Mold and to Chester.

Arriving at premises was off-putting but once entered this changed, everything was new and perfectly clean. Our son who is a 5star hotel GM in Singapore would have appreciated the internal decor etc. The only internal complaint was the size of bedroom, the bed was against the wall at one side, may have been better with a narrower bed. A short walk into centre of Mold.
The location was great. There was no food available due to the ongoing refurbishment. This might have been disappointing to some travellers but I just wanted to curl up in my room. The room was comfy, the hotel retains many interesting period pieces and a fantastic central staircase and entrance way. I would stay there again.
We had a lovely stay at Hafan Deg. We were warmly recieved upon arrival and our room was very cute and comfortable with access to the garden! The morning breakfast was nice as well. I'd definitely recommend Hafan Deg to anyone traveling through Northern Wales.
We enjoyed our meal in the evening and breakfast was lovely and the staff were friendly. The main body of the hotel needs a makeover or repainting especially in the corridor areas. Generally the main hotel area was nice and clean
It is NOT a hotel, its a Refugees camp, if you want to spend your days with refugees from Somalia, go for it, i looked ta the property, turned around and left, cant believe that booking.com even has the property on their website
plenty of parking spaces. Car charging available. Several areas to sit and relax.
loved the dragon in reception
outdoor sitting area available to enjoy a drink in the sunshine
the best hotel hairdryer ever!!
My 2nd stay at this location. The whole apartment is always spotless, Sky tv is also available, best location in Mold. And the host even left a pint of milk and some Cookies!! Can't find a single complaint!
Fantastic location with beautiful gardens. The staff were exceptional. The breakfast was stunning and the best I’ve had at any hotel. Wonderful hotel which has amazing staff.
Location perfect for my needs. Hotel was beautiful, room decent size, with a nice touch of history. Big bonus of onw 'front-door directly to patio (if weather was better).
Great location within the grounds of the main farmhouse, but set up to provide plenty of privacy. Very clean, comfortable accommodation with the added bonus of a hot tub.
A very charming small country hotel to stay at. The staff were exceptionally helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast included was certainly well above average.
As a wedding venue: Fantastic. As a hotel, it is just an expensive, well decorated B & B. Nice house and Grounds.
Staff were really friendly and helpful.
